Tisan Makina began its operations in 1977 as Tisan Ticaret ve Sanayi Kollektif Şirketi (Tisan Trade and Industry Collective Company). It contributed to Turkish industry by continuing its work in the automotive and machinery sub-industry sectors. In 1996, the company became Tisan Makina ve Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi (Tisan Machinery and Automotive Industry and Trade Limited Company). Since 2005, Tisan Makina has been operating in its own building in the İkitelli Organized Industrial Zone, and in 2005, it was awarded the ISO 9001 Quality Certificate.

Among Tisan Makina’s products, pre-cut shims stand out. Shims are widely used, especially in predictive maintenance applications.

Predictive maintenance, also known as condition-based maintenance, is maintenance that monitors the performance and condition of equipment during normal operation to minimize the likelihood of failure. It has been used in industry since the 1990s. Its aim is to predict when equipment failure may occur and then apply regularly planned corrective maintenance, thus preventing failure.

Shims are prominent components in predictive maintenance. They are known as indispensable elements for precise machine adjustment. They are especially used in the precise adjustment systems of shafts and pulleys. The company manufactures shims specifically for coupling alignment adjustment. Pre-cut, ready-made shims save the user time.

The company produces shims from stainless steel sheets and offers them in 9 different thicknesses and 5 different sizes. Tisan Makina supplies shims to users as its own production. Coupling adjustment shims are sold in sets in special boxes, or can be supplied in the desired size and quantity.

Other products of the company include bearing thrust springs, cup washers, bearing covers, and special washers. All of these products are offered to users as manufactured by the company.

Bearing thrust springs are manufactured in standard and non-standard sizes to suit all types of bearings. Cup washers are also offered to the user in standard and non-standard sizes. There are no restrictions on the type of bearing covers; sheet metal covers are manufactured for all types of bearings. In addition to these, heat-treated and coated special washers are also among the company’s own products.
